Ingredients:

Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Black pepper - 1/2 tsp

Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp

Ghee - 2 tbsp

Paneer - 120 gm

Onion - 1 (small size)

Curry leaves - few

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

Chilly powder - 1 tsp

Coriander powder - 1 tsp

Tamarind juice - 1 tbsp

Curd - 2 tbsp

Salt - as required

Jaggery - 1/2 tsp







Recipe:

  1. In a pan, add fennel seeds, cumin seeds, pepper corn, fenugreek and dry roast at low flame for around 3-5 minutes.
  2. Add it to a mixie jar and grind it to a fine powder. Keep it aside.
  3. Now in a pan, add ghee and fry paneer(cut into cubes)  till golden brown. Turn sides in-between.
  4. Remove the paneer and keep it aside.
  5. In the same pan, add finely chopped onions, few curry leaves and saute until translucent.
  6. Add little salt while cooking onion to fasten the process.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.
  8. Now add in chilly powder, coriander and the ground masala powders and saute for 1 minute at low flame.
  9. Add little tamarind juice and mix until it becomes dry.
  10. Finally add little curd and mix well at low flame until the ghee separates.
  11. At this stage, add the fried paneer and little jaggery powder to balance the taste.
  12. Tasty paneer ghee roast is ready ! Try this with rice, chapathi or parotta and enjoy.
