Cardamom Tea Cake
In this post, let’s see how to make a very simple and an easy to make cake i.e. cardamom flavoured tea cake. This would be a perfect cake to have with a cup of tea or coffee. Friends, do give a try to this easy cake recipe and share your feedback.
Ingredients:
All purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Eggs - 3
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Cardamom - 6
Oil - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
Recipe:
- Grease oil in the baking tray and line it with a parchment paper.
- Sift all purpose flour, baking powder, salt and keep it aside.
- In a mixie jar, add eggs, sugar, vanilla essence, cardamom and blend in mixie for 30 seconds until creamy.
- Add oil, milk, lemon juice and blend again for 10 seconds.
- Add this to sifted dry ingredients and mix well using a hand whisk.
- Finally add chopped cashews and raisins.
- Tap the tray twice and bake at 180 degree celsius for around 25-30 minutes.
- Check if the cake is baked by inserting a toothpick or knife. It should come out clean.
- Cool the cake completely and cut into pieces.
- Enjoy the cake with a hot cup of tea!
My notes:
- As it is a tea cake, it has mild sweetness, but if you want more sweetness, you can add 1/4 cup more sugar.
- Dust the raisins with little flour to avoid sinking.
