Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients:
Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 1/2
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2
Cashews - 6 to 8
Butter - 2 tbsp
Bay leaf - 1
Salt - as required
Paneer - 150 gm
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves - little (for garnishing)
Kasthuri methi leaves - little (for garnishing)
Fresh cream - 2 tbsp
Recipe:
- In a pan, add little oil.
- Once the oil is hot enough, add onions and little salt to fasten the cooking of onions.
- Saute until translucent.
- Add a tsp of ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.
- Add chopped tomatoes, few cashew nuts and saute until mushy.
- Remove from the stove and let it cool down.
- Now grind this to a fine paste and keep it aside.
- In a pan, add little butter.
- Let it melt.
- Now add bay leaf and chilly powder.
- Mix for 10 seconds at low flame. Take care not to burn the chilly powder.
- Now add in the ground puree and mix well.
- Add required salt and water to adjust the consistency.
- Now add paneer cubes.
- Cover and simmer it for around 5 minutes.
- Add garam masala, little sugar and simmer for 1 minute.
- Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves and kasthuri methi leaves.
- Yummy, creamy paneer butter masala is ready to enjoy !
