Namak Para
In this post, let’s see how to make crispy and tasty Indian savoury recipe i.e. Namak para. Friends, do give a try to this easy recipe and share your feedback.
Ingredients:
Maida/ All purpose flour - 1 cup
Semolina/Sooji - 1 tbsp
Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Ghee - 3 to 4 tbsp
Warm water - as required
Oil - for deep frying
- In a bowl, add flour, semolina, ajwain, salt and ghee.
- Mix everything well.
- Check the texture of the flour by holding in your hand, should be able to get proper shape.
- Add warm water little by little and knead it to a soft dough.
- Cover and let it rest for around 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, flatten it using a rolling pin.
- Now using a knife cut into desired shape.
- Now fry these on hot oil at medium flame.
- Stir at intervals to ensure even frying.
- Fry until the colour changes to light brown and the sizzling sound of oil stops.
- Crispy and tasty namak para is ready!
