Simpla Dhal Tadka
In this post, we are going to see how to make simple dhal tadka quickly in a span of 10 minutes. This goes well with hot rice, chapathi with just a pickle on the side. Friends, do give a try to this easy and simple recipe and share your valuable feedback.
Ingredients:
Toor dhal - 1/2 cup
Water - as required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as required
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Red Chilly powder - 3 to 4
Curry leaves - few
Recipe:
- Add washed toor dhal along with water, turmeric powder and hing in a pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook for around 3 -4 whistles until soft.
- Once the pressure is released, check if the dhal is cooked well.
- Mash well with a spoon.
- Add water to adjust consistency.
- Add required salt.
- Simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- In a separate pan, add little ghee.
- Once it’s hot, add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, red chilly and few curry leaves.
- Fry and add this tadka to cooked dhal.
- Thats it. Yummy and quick dhal tadka is ready!
