Coriander Mint Chutney

Ingredients:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Green Chilly - 1 (increase as per your spicy level)
Mint leaves - a bunch (40gm)
Coriander leaves - a bunch (40gm)
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Tamarind - a small piece
Salt - as required
For seasoning :
Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly - 1
Curry leaves - few
Recipe:
- In a pan, add little oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add urad dhal and green chilly.
- Let it fry in oil for few seconds.
- Now add washed mint and coriander leaves.
- Saute until it shrinks.
- Add grated coconut, a small piece of tamarind and mix well for around 1 minute.
- Remove from stove and let it cool down completely.
- Now add to a mixie jar and grind it to a fine paste.
- Transfer to a bowl.
- For seasoning , in a pan, add little oil.
- Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
- Add urad dhal, red chilly, few curry leaves.
- Fry well and add it to the chutney.
- Coriander mint chutney is ready to serve. This goes well with dosa, idly and even variety rice like curd rice.
