In this post, let’s see how to make cream bun, donut holes and donut using the same dough. We know kids love to eat donuts, but we all have a thought that it is very difficult to make at home. But actually speaking making these at home is very easy and cheap compared to the store bought one. It takes a little time for the dough to rise, but it is all worth at the end. For making these, most of the ingredients are usually available at home. So friends, please do give a try and share your valuable feedback.






Ingredients:

Warm milk - 3/4 cup

Sugar - 1 tsp + 2 tbsp

Yeast - 1 tsp

All purpose flour (Maida) - 1 3/4 cup (250 gm)

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Melted butter - 1 tsp

Oil - for deep frying



Cream bun filling:

Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup  (60gm)

Butter - 30 gm

Milk - 1 tbsp


Chocolate donut:

Powdered sugar - 2 tbsp

Cocoa powder - 1/2 tbsp

Vanilla essence - a drop

milk - 1 or 2 tsp


Pink donuts:

Powdered sugar - 2 tbsp

Milk - 1 tsp

Pink food colour - a drop


Donut holes :

Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp

Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp





Recipe:

  1. In a bowl, add warm milk, yeast and little sugar.
  2. Mix well and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, sugar and mix well.
  4. Add the yeast milk mixture to the flour.
  5. Mix everything well and knead all together to one dough.
  6. Add some flour to the working surface.
  7. Place the dough and knead it for 10 minutes until soft.
  8. Grease some oil over the dough and keep it covered for around 2 hours until it double in it’s size.
  9. Punch the air out and knead again and divide the dough into 2 equal portions.
  10. Take one half of it and divide into 4 equal parts.
  11. Roll each into round balls without any cracks and keep it aside.
  12. Take another half and flatten it using rolling pin to 1/2 inch thickness.
  13. Using any lid(big and small) , cut the dough into donut shapes.
  14. Use the centre piece for making donut holes and the outer one for making donuts.
  15. Keep everything covered for around 1 hour until it double in size.
  16. Now let’s deep fry them in oil. Keep the flame in low to medium.
  17. Turn sides and fry until the colour changes to golden brown.
  18. Let it cool down.



To make cream bun filling :

  1. Add powdered sugar, butter, milk in a bowl and mix well until creamy.
  2. Cut the bun into two and fill the cream inside.
  3. Yummy butter bun is ready to enjoy!


To make chocolate donut:

  1. Mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla essence, milk in a bowl.
  2. Dip the donuts in chocolate sauce .
  3. Tasty Chocolate donuts are ready to taste!


To make pink coloured donuts:

  1. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla essence, red food colour, milk in a bowl.
  2. Dip the donuts in sugar coating.
  3. Enjoy having pink donuts.


To make donut holes:

  1. Mix powdered sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl.
  2. Toss the donut holes in this and enjoy the cinnamon flavoured donut holes.
