 Dry fruits barfi 




Dry fruits barfi is a healthy , no sugar dessert and can be had guilt free who is on diet :) One small piece barfi is packed with many nutrients and gives lots of  energy . Friends, do give a try to this healthy, no sugar recipe and share your feedback in the comment section below .


Ingredients :

Dates - 250 gm

Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp

Ghee - 2 tbsp

Chopped cashew nuts - 1/4 cup

Chopped almond - 1/4 cup

Chopped pistachios - 1/4 cup 

Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp


Recipe :

  1. Grind dates to a fine paste.
  2. In a pan , add poppy seeds and roast well for 2 minutes. Keep this aside.
  3. Now add little ghee and roast chopped cashew nuts, almond, pistachios well.
  4. Keep this aside in a plate.
  5. In the same pan, add little ghee.
  6. Add ground dates and roast for around 5 minutes until it is soft.
  7. Now add the roasted nuts, half of the roasted poppy seeds and a pinch of cardamom powder.
  8. Mix well until everything is well combined.
  9. Now transfer to a plate and let it cool down.
  10. Once it’s cooled down, roll it into cylindrical shape.
  11. Take an aluminium foil, add the remaining roasted poppy seeds.
  12. Roll the cylindrical shaped barfi mixture in the poppy seeds.
  13. Wrap well and keep it in freezer for around 15 minutes.
  14. After 15 minutes, take it out. Cut into slices and enjoy!
