 Thenkuzhal murukku 




Thenkuzhal murukku is one of the famous tamilnadu savoury  and usually made during festival time at home. This murukku is very easy to make using few ingredients which are available at home. Friends, do give a try to  this easy, simple recipe at home and share your valuable feedback. 


Ingredients :

Rice flour - 1 cup

Urad dhal flour - 1/4 cup

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Hing - a generous pinch 

Salt - as required 

Butter - 1 tsp

Oil - for deep frying 


Recipe :

  1. In a bowl, add rice flour , urad dhal flour, cumin seeds, hing, salt, butter and mix well.
  2. Add water little by little and knead it to soft dough.
  3. Grease the murukku pressing stand with oil.
  4. Roll the dough into cylindrical shape and fill inside the pressing stand.
  5. Now press the murukku dough  on a greased plate.
  6. Deep fry them in hot oil.
  7. When one side is fried well, turn to the other .
  8. When the oil oozing sound stops, take out and drain in a tissue paper.
  9. Crispy and easy thenkuzhal murukku is ready !
