Two layer cake
In today's post, we will see how to make a two layer tea cake with chocolate and vanilla flavour. This recipe doesn’t require any electric beater, just a hand whisk is enough to beat the eggs. Friends, do give a try to this easy recipe and share your valuable feedback.
Ingredients :
Egg - 3
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Softened butter - 1/2 cup ( 100 gm)
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Milk - 2 tbsp
Dark chocolate - 100 gm
Recipe :
- Beat eggs well until frothy. It will take around 5 minutes.
- Add in sugar and beat well until light and fluffy .
- Add in vanilla essence and softened butter and mix well.
- Now sift all purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix everything well using a hand whisk.
- Scrape the sides of the bowl using a spatula.
- Now oil or butter the baking tray and line with a butter/ parchment sheet.
- Pour in half of the cake batter .
- Level it with spatula.
- Keep it aside.
- Now add melted dark chocolate to the remaining batter.
- Mix well and pour in the baking tray above the vanilla cake batter.
- Level it with a spatula or a spoon.
- Now preheat the oven and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for around 50 minutes .
- Check if the cake is done by inserting a toothpick or a knife.
- Once the cake is cooled down , cut into pieces and enjoy !
