EASY EGGLESS RED VELVET CAKE | HOW TO MAKE EGGLESS RED VELVET CAKE

 Red velvet cake 

This red velvet cake is an eggless,  easy recipe  and can be made in 30 minutes. The cake here is soaked in sugar syrup and frosted with whip cream frosting. This is a very simple recipe . Try this easy cake recipe and share your feedback.




Ingredients :

Oil - 1/4 cup

Sugar - 1/2 cup

Buttermilk - 2/3 cup

Red food colour - as required 

Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp

All purpose flour - 1 cup

Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp

Baking powder - 1/2 tsp

Baking soda - 1/4 tsp

Salt - 1/4 tsp


To make frosting :

Whip cream - 1 cup

Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup

Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp




Recipe :

  1. Add oil and sugar in a bowl. Mix it well with a hand whisk.
  2. Add buttermilk , vanilla essence and red food colour to it and mix well.
  3. To this , sift all the dry ingredients ( all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt).
  4. Fold the wet and dry ingredients with a spatula.
  5. Spray some oil or butter in a square pan and also line it with a parchment paper( butter paper) or you can also dust with some all purpose flour.
  6. Pour in the cake batter to the pan.
  7. Preheat and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 25- 30 minutes.
  8. Check if it’s done by inserting a toothpick or a knife . It should come out clean .
  9. Let the cake completely cool down.
  10. Once the cake is cooled down, soak the cake well with sugar syrup . ( Mix 1 tbsp of sugar with 1/2 tbsp of sugar).
  11. If you wish you can also cut the top layer of the cake to look evenly and to get soaked well in sugar syrup. This is optional.
  12. To make whipped cream frosting , add whip cream , powdered sugar and vanilla essence to a bowl .
  13. Beat well with a hand whisk for about 5 minutes until you see soft peaks .
  14. Refrigerate the whip cream until use .
  15. Now apply the frosting over the top of the cake and spread it evenly using back side of a spoon or a spatula .
  16. Cut the sides of the cake.
  17. Now cut it into square pieces and enjoy!



Notes:

  1. The sweetness of the cake  would be less in this recipe . This is balanced with sugar syrup and whip cream frosting . If you are planning to make only  the cake , increase the sugar quantity to 1 cup instead of 1/2 cup.
