This Gopi manchurian recipe is the similar to the one which we get in restaurants. This is an Indo chinese recipe . This is easy to make with a handful ingredients at home . Try this recipe at a home and share your valuable feedback.
Ingredients:
Cauliflower - 200 gm
All purpose flour/ Maida - 1/4 cup
Corn flour - 1/4 cup + 1 tsp(for sauce)
Chilly powder or chilly sauce - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Green chilly - 1
Chopped garlic - 3 tbsp
Spring onion ( white ) - 1/4 cup
Capsicum - 1/2
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Soy sauce - 2 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
Spring onion ( green) - 1/4 cup
Recipe :
- Soak cauliflower florets in hot water for 2 minutes .
- Filter and keep it aside .
- In a bowl , add all purpose flour/ maida , corn flour, red chilly powder and little salt .
- Add little water and mix it to a smooth batter without any lumps .
- Coat the cauliflower florets well in this batter .
- Deep fry in hot oil and keep it aside .
- Now in a separate pan , add little water .
- Add finely chopped green chilly, garlic and saute well for few minutes.
- Then add white part of spring onions , capsicum and mix well .
- Add chilly powder, pepper powder, salt and saute well .
- Now add soy sauce, tomato ketchup and little sugar and mix well at high flame .
- For thickness, add little corn flour in a bowl .
- Add around half cup water and mix well without any lumps .
- Add this corn flour to the sautéed vegetable and mix well until it thickens.
- This usually takes few seconds to get thickened.
- Once the sauce is thick , add fried cauliflower florets and mix well.
- Finally garnish with spring onions (green) and serve immediately when it’s hot .
Notes :
- If you like crunchy kind of taste , you can reduce the amount of corn flour to 1/2 tsp instead of 1 tsp while making the manchurian gravy .
- You can also add red chilly sauce instead of chilly powder .
- If you want your manchurian to be spicy, you can increase the number of green chillies .
